Rhubarb

It started because we (Craig and Ian and I) are now rehearsing as a trio and will be playing in Westchester on the 11th. So I thought we needed a name for the band. I thought of using the old band name, because I still have a sign and a banner and some left over business cards with that name "Rhubarb Meringue Pie" but my wife thought the name probably comes with too much baggage. She's probably right. I thought of this name and started looking up Rhubarb for the hell of it. I found an old Northwest Indian tale about how the animals were trying to figure out what to do with these human babies that had just appeared. It was believed that a symbol of the species throw into the ocean would either sink or float. If it floated it meant that the humans were probably all right to help out, since they weren't going away, and they would proper. So I thought of this. It probably won't be the band's name, but I thought it leant itself well to a CD cover. Got a year to go on the music for it.

The band thinks it should be Danjo the band (o) or something like that. The banjo teacher said the same thing without any prompting on my part.
