I replied that I needed to see if I had a band. The next day, I had half a band to go, so I told them yes we would come. What was the time slot, did they have sound or at least power? Can we park for free?

No response. I call the number. a girl answers that Derrick is out of town but she would give him the message. I call back yesterday, she gives a second email to cc and Derrick emails back to say says yes he'd like us to play. No info.

I reply and the second lady I cc'd says they would get back to me. Nothing.

So we plan to go. The lady on the phone told me it starts at 7:00pm

This morning I sent this:

Derrick & Lesly,

We will be coming tonight to play. We will probably arrive at 6-6:30 to set up to play at 7:00. We will need a place to plug in for electrical power. We would like to get as close as possible to off load equipment. And we have three cars coming and would prefer to not have to pay for parking. I assume we play until closing or we and the audience run out of stream. 10-11?

If you want us earlier, please get back to me. If we are sharing the time slot, please let me know that as well. Will there be an on site person to hook up with?

Unfortunately we had to postpone Fiesta Fridays to May 4th 2012, but I will add you to our list, and once the event gets closer I will send you an e-mail.

Daydee

Tonight I hit 50,000 words on the first draft of Daydee's story. She's come a ways, almost to the end of her pregnancy. Sorry, I gave up trying to post it. It became a mess and there's a part that's in abbreviated note form. Still got lots to do on it in rewrite. Probably another year or more after I finish. Probably the first draft will be done by August maybe. There's a couple or three people that might want to read it, but I'd much rather start them out on the second draft. That's the real writing.

Losing It

I just realized Friday night that I no longer have this painting in my possession. It was done as a illustration for this poem: http://murderer.us/Foreign%20Bodies/index.htm and I never hung it anywhere in the house. Anyone know what I did with it? I must have given it to someone or sold it. I honestly don't remember

Another One That Got Away

Just took the bear child up here this weekend. Moved her in with her stuff. She's got a job and an apartment she's sharing. And friends up there. It was a long drive up with two car loads of stuff. Hope she does well in the world. Her box springs had to be tied to the top of my van. It got rained on twice on the way there and we had to leave it out in the sun to dry out. Still works though slightly stained.
