This is overlooking the Ten Lakes basin in northern Yosemite. I got my Wilderness Permit today for backpacking in July 8th for a week. I've good at getting what I want. No children of mine this year (like last year) but what the hoot. I got into because I liked it. It's a great way to beat yourself up and feel proud about it afterward. Gonna be an easy trip this year. My two buddies want a base camp and time to fish and day hike. I'm bringing my watercolors. If God is anywhere, she is up here.
I'm happy too because I was turned down four times in the permit application until I finally got it right. I've never been turned in eight years of doing this.
